DESCRIPTION: Ball Watch Co., Cleveland, Ohio, by Hamilton, 999 "Official Standard", 16 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions, concentric circular damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, double roller, gold jewel settings and whiplash micrometric regulator in a Ball Model yellow gold filled, hinged back and bezel, engine turned open face case and Arabic numeral, single sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel spade hands, serial #B603473, c1915.
CONDITION: CASE: Small dents and dings; Scratches on outer surface of case; Scratches, abrasion and minor pitting on cuvette; Engine turning / engraving worn smooth; Gold filled with moderate brassing; Covers with gaps near hinges when closed; Hinge plugs absent; Crown worn. DIAL: Fine scratches, otherwise very good. HANDS: Minute with oxidation and bends at tip. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Winding wheels with minor specks of oxidation; Regulator and spring with speck of oxide; Minor marring to screw slots; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
